The Sparta Series Drilling System (SSDS) is a safe, highly efficient, self-erecting, fast-moving rig designed for well programs where drilling time is minimal, fast efficient rig moves are essential and where spud-to-spud cycle times are the principle evaluation criteria. The SSDS combines two industry-proven structure technologies, a vertically erecting scoping mast and a hydraulic winch raised parallelogram substructure and can be quickly arranged as an exploration rig or a multi-well skidding or walking rig for pad development drilling. No cranes or specialized rig-up equipment is required for rig moves. The1000hp SSDS is broken down into 20 loads. The 1200hp and 1500hp SDS is broken down into 21 total loads.
